Tricia’s Foundation

Dear Friends,

On June 11, 2007, our daughter, Tricia, was found in her bed passed away sometime in the night from a seizure. She was set to graduate cum laude in three days from Grosse Pointe North High School amongst her friends, family, and peers. Although Tricia was only on this earth for a short time, she left behind a great legacy that her loved ones and friends feel inspired to carry on. Tricia was gifted in many ways, but the three she was most passionate about were music, dance and people.

A true humanitarian, in high school she spent much of her time helping in the LRC and ALP department, she had this wonderful gift of making people feel loved and accepted no matter who you are.

A lover of the arts, Tricia enjoyed dancing and singing. She had the ability to keep you captivated while doing either.

To continue her passion and assist young artists harness their own talents, The Tricia Myers Foundation would like to continue to provide scholarships to children with financial need. Tricia loved assisting children with disabilities; hence the foundation also helps the challenged to reach higher levels. To date Tricia’s Foundation has given two dance scholarships, two singing scholarships, learning materials to Grosse Pointe North High School LRC which benefits learning disabilities and finally money to help fund GPN ALP which teach children with mental disabilities to run a resale shop which enhances independent living. Her foundation has helped with Challenge Day which is a seminar of chosen students to learn respect and acceptance of one another. By making this difference in Tricia’s name we hope to spread the joy that Tricia created with her personality and the joy of sharing it with other people.

The family would appreciate all size donations to The Tricia Myers Foundation :

Sincerely,
The Myers Family
